Please note due to limited availability and small batches, this coffee will be roasted/packed/shipped once per week. Therefore lead times may deviate from our standard ordering guidelines for this limited release coffee.

Often spelled as Geisha, Gesha is also an accurate spelling, and we honor the farmers' preference. Simply put, these coffees are exceptional.

Gesha Spirits: Wilder Lasso considers Gesha the crown jewel of his farm, Bella Alejandría, nestled at 1890 meters above sea level in Colombia's Huila region. This lot underwent a double fermentation process, with 140 hours of anaerobic fermentation in mucilage infused with tangerine peel. After 18 days of sun exposure drying, it was stabilized at Lasso's Tocora warehouse for 25 days before milling. A veterinarian turned coffee producer since 2017, Wilder Lasso initially joined his father on their farm, Tocora, in the mountainous San Adolfo region. Driven by a passion for coffee and family history in the industry, he ventured into coffee production, leveraging his background in genetics to pioneer a varietal program at Tocora. Today, this program boasts over 12 meticulously selected varieties from diverse origins.

Gesha Oasis: Cultivated at 1,850 m on the Buenavista farm in the Planadas region of Tolima, Colombia, under the stewardship of Raúl Durán. The Durán family has a deep heritage in Colombian coffee: Raúl is a fourth-generation coffee grower who inherited and consolidated the family farm over time. Today, the farm operates as a multi-generational endeavor, with 60,000 trees across varietals like Caturra, Castillo, Papayo, and of course, Gesha. This microlot is processed via a carefully controlled washed method. After depulping, the beans undergo a 36‑hour anaerobic fermentation in GrainPro bags, creating a low-oxygen environment that deepens flavor complexity. Following fermentation, the beans are thoroughly washed to remove remaining mucilage while preserving their intrinsic qualities. Drying is slow and deliberate—sun‑dried on raised beds for 20 days, promoting even moisture reduction and flavor development.
