San Diego Wave FC Announce AAPI Night Activations, presented by Mostra Coffee
San Diego Wave FC and Mostra Coffee have partnered for AAPI Night, celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. Presented by Mostra Coffee, a San Diego-based micro roaster owned by women, AAPI, and veterans, the event coincides with the match against NJ/NY Gotham FC on May 12. As part of their multi-year partnership, Mostra will be joining the festivities surrounding the game.
The AAPI-themed evening will feature various activities, including Hawaiian dance performances and live music by Sundial and Ylona. Mostra's co-founders, Jelynn Malone and Beverly Magtanong, will participate in pre-game ceremonies, with Malone announcing the starting lineup and Magtanong singing the national anthem. In a special tribute for Mother’s Day and AAPI recognition, the mothers of Mostra's co-founders will participate in the coin toss.
Attendees will receive free drink cards for Mostra Coffee and posters designed by Harrison Cho. San Diego Councilmember Kent Lee will also honor Jaedyn Shaw for her AAPI contributions and recognize Mostra Coffee for its leadership in the AAPI business community.
