Introducing Mostra's "Bayani" Blend, a coffee featured this month at Capital One Café. The Philippine Tagalog word BAYANI means "hero," and this November we celebrate the courageous lives and selfless service of all our veterans. We are grateful for their commitment to the greater good, for the community, and for our nation. Our veterans inspire all of us to be brave every single day and to continue finding ways to serve our own communities.
Sam, one of the Mostra owners, says of his own military service:
"It was a great honor to serve my country and a burden I carry gladly. I will never forget the courage of my brothers and sisters in arms or the great sacrifice of their families. Sam Magtanong was an Army Infantry Officer and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07, serving with 2nd Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division.
Bayani Blend highlights Philippine Specialty Coffee and pays homage to Mostra's roots. This blend strikes out as a prodigal creation; where previous blends were inspired as Mostra founders slept on hallowed ancestral ground in the Philippines, this one cuts a more modern path across your palate. Going beyond the basics of a smooth, chocolaty espresso, you can expect a blend featuring a naturally processed coffee like this to really pop.

Every bag begins with a fresh roast, never warehouse stock. We roast coffee in small batches and ship it shortly after, sealing in the vibrant aroma and flavor so it reaches you at its peak. From roast to doorstep, we make sure your coffee’s journey is as short and as fresh as possible.
Shipping Information
We aim to process orders within 1–2 business days, though in some cases it may take up to 3–5 business days.
Most orders are then shipped via USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class/Ground (Local Zones), with an estimated transit time of 1–3 business days from the shipment date. Other carriers may be used at our discretion.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number to follow your package every step of the way.
Exceptions may include:
- Peak seasons (such as holidays)
- Special release coffees with limited roast schedules
