Often spelled as Geisha, Gesha is also an accurate spelling, and we honor the farmers' preference. Simply put, this coffee is exceptional. On the cupping table, it unveils an enticing aroma reminiscent of ginger snap, followed by delicate notes of lavender and Earl Grey tea in the cup, all complemented by its juicy character. Wilder Lasso considers Gesha the crown jewel of his farm, Bella Alejandría, nestled at 1890 meters above sea level in Colombia's Huila region.

This lot underwent a double fermentation process, with 140 hours of anaerobic fermentation in mucilage infused with tangerine peel. After 18 days of sun exposure drying, it was stabilized at Lasso's Tocora warehouse for 25 days before milling. A veterinarian turned coffee producer since 2017, Wilder Lasso initially joined his father on their farm, Tocora, in the mountainous San Adolfo region. Driven by a passion for coffee and family history in the industry, he ventured into coffee production, leveraging his background in genetics to pioneer a varietal program at Tocora. Today, this program boasts over 12 meticulously selected varieties from diverse origins.

This exceptional coffee earned a remarkable 96 points from Coffee Review, further solidifying its reputation. Given the opportunity to share this exceptional coffee with the esteemed reviewers at Coffee Review, we eagerly embraced it. Discover more about their insights into this unique coffee here.
